Built in Germany, the “Seppster 2 Ice Racer” is a radical combination of art and engineering. The more you look at this bike the more interesting features you find, like the single sided front suspension, turbo charger, twin rear chain drive and the little disc brake mounted on the lay shaft behind the engine.
Other items are more subtle like the air shock mounted under the seat to smooth out bumps coming from the rigid rear end. And then there is the front brake caliper hidden behind a small drilled plate on the fork down leg, although there is no actual front brake lever on the handlebars. I suspect that the brakes are linked and both operated by the foot brake lever, especially as there is what appears to be a brake bias adjuster mounted by the rear brake master cylinder. As to the clutch lever, I can only presume that the builders used a hidden twist grip clutch on the left bar to match an equally hidden, throttle assembly inside the right handlebar.
The bike even has a sidestand for parking it between rides.
The bike also won third place in the Free Style Class at the recent AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building 2008.
